QinetiQ is seeking an Electronic Technician in Farnborough for a permanent role. You will support EMC and TEMPEST testing, set up and measure with RF equipment, and contribute to technical reports. Training and mentoring are provided.
The role involves 37 hours per week on-site, with occasional travel in the UK. An electrical/electronics apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 is required, along with a HNC/HND in related discipline.

As an Electronic Technician, you'll play a key role in helping us ensure customer systems meet Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) and TEMPEST requirements, supporting the safety, security and performance of critical defence and national security systems.
In this hands‑on role, you'll be involved in the planning, setup and execution of EMC/TEMPEST tests, working directly with customer equipment and contributing to high‑quality technical documentation under UKAS accreditation.
If you've just finished your apprenticeship or qualification, we still want to hear from you. We'll provide structured training, mentoring and on-the-job learning to help you grow into the role.

This role is 37 hours per week based at Farnborough. Set working times are Monday-Friday, on-site 5 days per week. Travel to other QinetiQ and customer sites will be expected.
