Job Description

Teledyne Controls (part of Teledyne UK Ltd) is looking to the future, and we are actively recruiting at our repair facility in Cumbernauld.

We count over 300 airlines among our valued customers, including some of the world’s major carriers, supplying products to the major OEMs such as Airbus and Boeing.

We are looking for enthusiastic, inquisitive, and determined individuals who are seeking a challenging and fulfilling career to join our Repair team. As part of the onboarding process and personal development, the successful candidate will undergo technical training with existing technicians and managers to help build their understanding of the Teledyne Control products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  1. Test and troubleshoot products, equipment, and circuitry, including functional, operational, and environmental testing.
  2. Analyse and interpret test data for component level and system level repair.
  3. Enter data and provide written reports on test and troubleshoot findings.
  4. Read and follow relevant schematic drawings.

Education/Experience:

  1. HNC/HND in Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience.
  2. Position requires basic mechanical and electronics experience, with an emphasis on electronic skills.
  3. Requires knowledge of the principles of electronics and troubleshooting techniques.
  4. Experience testing electronic assemblies using traditional tooling, such as multi-meter, oscilloscope, power supply, function generator, etc.
  5. Experience using a variety of hand tools and machine shop tools, and equipment such as soldering iron, hand drill, etc.
  6. Basic MS Office skills including ability to open and create files in Word, create and manipulate data in Excel and use Email and calendars in Outlook.
  7. Must have effective written and verbal communication skills; follow written and verbal procedures, instructions, read schematics.
  8. Must be able to deal with frequent change, delays, unexpected events or ambiguity, and is able to multi-task to accomplish repair activities to completion.
  9. Requires excellent analytical skills and sound judgment to ensure error-free repairs.

Working Hours:

Dayshift: 7:00hrs-15:15hrs Mon-Thurs, 7:00hrs-13:30hrs Fri.

Backshift: 15:00hrs-23:15hrs Mon-Thurs, 13:15hrs-19:45hrs Fri.
