KO2 Embedded Recruitment Solutions LTD is seeking an Electronics Technician in Arundel, West Sussex. The role involves assembling equipment and prototypes for test and performing continuous hands-on testing of power electronics products.

You will use a soldering iron and hand tools to build, repair, and modify hardware, and you’ll work closely with hardware, firmware, and software colleagues across the R&D team. A practical, hands-on approach and teamwork are essential.

• Hands-on, practical electronics work at bench.

• Ability to travel to customer sites as role develops.

Electronics Technician

Location: Arundel, West Sussex

Salary: Up to £42,000 DOE

What you’ll be doing

• Assembling equipment and prototypes for test
• Carrying out continuous, hands‑on testing of power electronics products
• Using hand tools and a soldering iron to build, repair and modify hardware
• Suggesting and making design improvements based on test results
• Using a wide range of test instruments with confidence
• Working closely with hardware, firmware and software colleagues across the R&D team

About you

• Your route in is flexible.
• You might be a graduate with some industry experience, or even impressive home projects. Or you might be a technician who came up through an apprenticeship, HNC or HND and built strong theory along the way.
• Practical and hands‑on.
• You enjoy bench work and aren't afraid to pick up a soldering iron.
• Electronics enthusiast.
• You will work on personal projects and see electronics as a hobby.
• A background in power electronics.
• Experience with AC motor drives is a real plus, but they are happy to train the right person.
• Some understanding of firmware and software.
• You don't need to be an expert, just able to talk confidently with all parts of the R&D team.
• A great team player with determination and a sense of urgency.
• An innovator and lateral thinker who enjoys solving problems in new ways.
• Ambitious to grow, and open to travelling to customer sites worldwide as your role develops.

Working arrangements

This role is based full-time, five days a week, at their headquarters in Arundel. They will welcome a relocator and are able to assist with relocation.
