Job summary

Clearwater People Solutions Ltd is seeking an Electronic Service Repair Engineer to inspect, diagnose, repair, maintain and test Audio Visual and LED display equipment. The role covers board level repairs, soldering, and servicing 400V three-phase power systems.

You will perform firmware updates, calibration, and testing, and may undertake minor fabrication using workshop machinery. The position is permanent and hands-on.

Qualifications

• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills in electrical systems.
• Experience with LED displays is preferred.
• Able to read schematics and electrical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, fault find and repair LED displays and AV equipment.
• Perform board-level and component-level repairs including soldering and hot air rework.
• Maintain and service power distribution systems, including 400V three-phase systems.
• Conduct preventative maintenance inspections to minimise downtime.
• Carry out firmware updates, configuration checks, calibration and testing.
• Undertake minor mechanical fabrication and modifications using workshop machinery.

Job description

Our client is currently recruiting for an Electronic Service Repair Engineer on a permanent basis. The Service Repair Engineer is responsible for the inspection, diagnosis, repair, maintenance, and testing of Audio Visual and LED display equipment.

Key Responsibilities for the Electronic Service Repair Engineer

• Diagnose, fault find and carry out electrical and mechanical repairs on LED displays and a wide range of professional AV equipment.
• Perform board level and component level repairs, including manual soldering and hot air rework techniques.
• Maintain and service power distribution systems, including 400V three-phase systems.
• Conduct preventative maintenance inspections to minimise equipment failure and downtime.
• Carry out firmware updates, configuration checks, calibration, and performance testing where required.
• Undertake minor mechanical fabrication and modifications using workshop machinery (e.g., milling, drilling equipment).

Key Experience for the Electronic Service Repair Engineer

• Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills (Preferably LED)
• Experience working with three-phase power systems (desirable).
• Competent in soldering and PCB fault tracing
• Strong understanding of electrical safety standards.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.
