Job summary

RCM Recruitment Ltd seeks an Electronics Repair Engineer to join a well-established electronics repair company in the UK. The role focuses on evaluating repairs, dismantling and assessing, repairing and testing, and interpreting diagrams to diagnose faults at the PCB level.

The successful candidate should have PCB fault-finding, soldering (through-hole and SMT), and some programming exposure, with strong communication skills for staff, suppliers, and customers.

Qualifications

• Experienced in electronics repair and fault finding to component level.
• Ability to solder through-hole and surface mount PCB's.
• Programming exposure is desirable but not essential.
• Strong communication with staff, suppliers and customers.

Electronics Repair Engineer

My client is a well-established electronic repair company with an excellent reputation within the industry. They are currently experiencing a period of growth and are looking for an experienced repair engineer to join their team.

The responsibilities of the Electronic Repair Engineer will be:

• Evaluation of repairs of various electronic equipment
• Dismantling and assessment of repairs
• Repair and testing
• Ability to interpret diagrams
• Fault find PCB's to component level
• Background in diagnosis
• Some programming experience desirable

The successful Electronic Repair Engineer will need to be/have:

• Ability to reverse engineer (preferred)
• Ability to solder through whole and/or surface mount PCB's
• Updating software with findings, work required, spare parts, materials and labour
• Communicating with all members of staff and when required suppliers & customers
