Job summary

Lorien is recruiting an Electronic Engineering Technician to support production design activities at a Bolton facility. You will work on the shop floor translating designs into real-world assemblies and contribute to engineering investigations.

The role involves hands-on lab/manufacturing tasks, fault resolution, and clear documentation. Prior experience in electronics labs or manufacturing is essential; the contract is 12 months and onsite within IR35.

Qualifications

• Strong fault diagnosis and verification skills.
• Good written and verbal communication; record-keeping accuracy.

Electronic Engineering Technician - Production Design Support - Bolton - Full Time Onsite - Inside IR35 - 12 months

Our client is looking for an Electronic Engineering Technician to support production activities at their state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities. You'll see designs come to life on the shop floor while supporting customers, with the chance to broaden your skills across electronics.

The role:

• Carry out technical activities under guidance, in line with process and quality requirements
• Support advanced missile modules and subsystems, with scope to work on launcher assemblies
• Inspect and verify equipment against standards and specifications
• Run design, test and technical investigations and propose robust corrective actions
• Compile test data, problem assessments and concise engineering documentation
• Capture non-conformances and keep accurate records of all work
• Liaise with customers and stakeholders to resolve issues

What you'll need:

• Previous hands-on experience in a lab, manufacturing or shop floor environment
• NVQ Level 3 in Electronic & Electrical Engineering (ideal) and/or HNC/HND in the same
• Experience with inspection, verification and fault resolution
• Strong communication and record-keeping skills
• A collaborative approach to team engineering decisions
