Job summary

MBDA in Stevenage offers a 10‑week Summer Placement in Electronic Engineering, starting June 2027. You will join a hands-on team to design, test and integrate electronics for weapon control units and related systems, mentored by experienced engineers.

This paid placement provides exposure to lab work, schematic design with Zuken, and potential software/firmware tasks, with on-site work at MBDA's Stevenage site and occasional team travel.

Qualifications

• Current undergraduate working toward an Electrical, Electronic, Avionics, Electro-mechanical, Physics or related Engineering degree.
• Security clearance: British Citizen or dual UK national with British citizenship.
• After offer, BPSS checks will be required.

Responsibilities

• Join MBDA's Electronic Engineering team to design and integrate electronics for Missile Control Units, Actuators, Telemetry and Communications systems.
• Work with mentors and a multi-disciplinary team to plan, design and deliver a missile-related project.
• Gain experience in lab work, schematic design (Zuken) and possibly Matlab/Simulink modelling.
• Occasional site visits but mainly on-site in Stevenage.
