You will own design work across analogue and digital circuits, PCB layout, circuit prototyping and testing, with opportunities to mentor junior engineers as the team grows. The role offers genuine ownership and exposure to EMC in a stable R&D-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop analogue and digital electronic circuits for new instruments and devices.
• Take ownership of schematic capture and PCB layout, from concept to production-ready design.
• Build, test and debug prototypes, identifying and resolving hardware issues.
• Support products through full design life cycle from concept to production release and ongoing support.
• Work with mechanical, software and product teams to deliver robust designs.
• Contribute to design reviews with technical input and constructive challenge.
• Support EMC testing where relevant to a project.
• Produce clear technical documentation to support manufacture and test.
• Mentor less experienced engineers as the team grows.

A position is now available for an experienced Electronics Engineer to join an engineering team working on the development of a new range of industry-leading instruments and devices. Our client is an established R&D-focused business, with a stellar reputation built on providing cutting-edge, industry-leading products for the last 30+ years.

This role suits an Electronics Engineer with a relevant degree qualification and solid hands‑on industry experience, comfortable taking ownership of design work across analogue and digital circuit design, PCB layout, circuit prototyping and test.

This role will be ideal for an Electronics Engineer who enjoys working across a range of electronics disciplines, has a keen eye for detail, and is comfortable working in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment. You will be working in a small team, so can expect plenty of variety in the role, along with the opportunity to take real ownership of projects and support the development of less experienced engineers as the team grows.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop analogue and digital electronic circuits for new instruments and devices
• Take ownership of schematic capture and PCB layout, from initial concept through to production‑ready design
• Build, test and debug prototypes, identifying and resolving hardware issues
• Support products through the full design life cycle - from concept and specification, through development and verification, to production release and ongoing support
• Work closely with mechanical, software and wider product teams to deliver robust, manufacturable designs
• Contribute to design reviews, offering technical input and constructive challenge
• Support compliance activity, including EMC testing, where relevant to a project
• Produce clear technical documentation to support manufacture, test and ongoing product support
• Provide guidance and support to less experienced engineers as part of a small, collaborative team
