The City of Dayton is seeking an Electronic Electrician to perform highly skilled electrical work, including wiring, testing, and maintenance of PLCs, data systems, and A/V equipment. The role requires extensive experience and a valid driver’s license, with promotion through Civil Service channels.

Open competitive and promotional appointment processes are used. Applicants will undergo a medical exam and must provide employment authorization documentation.

Competenze

• Must have 5 years of experience in the maintenance and repair of electrical and electronic equipment.
• Thoroughly trained and competent in the use of personal computers and windows operating systems.
• Experience in the maintenance and repair of computer hosted data acquisition systems including PLC and/or RTU functions.

Mansioni

• This is highly skilled electronic electrical work in wiring, testing, installation, calibration, maintenance and repair of electrical systems, instruments, programmable logic controllers (PLC), data transmitters and acquisition systems, computers, telemetry, and audio/video (A/V) equipment.

Formazione

Graduation from high school (or G.E.D.) AND journeyman electrician with a certificate in electronics or related field

Graduation from high school (or G.E.D.) AND completion of a four year certificate program in electronics or an electronic related field

Associate degree in Electronics
