Job summary

Electronic Design Engineer role in Merthyr Tydfil, offering a varied electronics design position from concept through to production. You’ll work with PCB layout, component selection and design activities within a small, skilled team.

The ideal candidate may be a recent graduate or someone with apprenticeship/HNC/HND experience, with flexibility across projects and hands-on problem solving. Starting salary is £30,000-£38,000 and benefits include 25 days holiday and Christmas shutdown.

Qualifications

• PCB layout and component selection experience.
• Capability to handle analogue and digital circuit design.
• Experience across projects rather than a single narrow area.

Responsibilities

• PCB layout and schematic capture.
• Component research, selection and specification.
• Support electronic circuit design across analogue and digital applications.
• Assistance with technical feasibility for new enquiries.
• Support system-level design and integration with other hardware.
• Prototype bring-up, testing and fault finding.
