Job summary

React Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Materials Buyer for a permanent full-time role near Dartford. The position involves sourcing and negotiating procurement of electronic components for manufacturing operations. Salary is £32,000 to £37,000 per annum.

You'll join a team with standard hours 8am to 4pm or 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, and enjoy benefits including 25 days annual leave, a pension, and free parking.

Qualifications

• Electronic component knowledge.
• A good standard of secondary education preferably to A’ Level. (CIPS membership an advantage).
• Thorough understanding of computerised manufacturing systems (ERP, MPS).
• Modern supply methods including JIT and KANBAN.
• At least 6 months experience in a similar role (manufacturing experience an advantage).
• Ability to communicate at all levels.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
• Computer literate including Word, Excel, PDF Writer.
• Cost reduction techniques
• Component recognition skills.
• Accurate and attention to detail driven approach.
• Hands On approach to all tasks
