Job summary

React Recruitment Ltd. is seeking an experienced Materials Buyer to source and negotiate procurement of electronic components. The role focuses on supplier management, ensuring best value and on-time delivery.

The candidate will work with new and lapsed suppliers, applying modern supply methods such as JIT and KANBAN, and should have 6 months of relevant experience in manufacturing or electronics. This permanent, full-time position is based near Dartford.

Qualifications

• Electronic components knowledge required.
• Good standard of secondary education preferably to A' Level; CIPS membership an advantage.
• Thorough understanding of computerised manufacturing systems (ERP, MPS).
• Modern supply methods including JIT and KANBAN.
• At least 6 months experience in a similar role (manufacturing/electronics advantageous).
• Strong negotiation and communication skills; ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Accurate and detail-driven approach.

Our client is seeking an experienced Materials Buyer. This role is offered as a permanent full-time position.

Location: Near Dartford

Hours: 8am to 4pm or 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday

Benefits include: 25 days annual leave, pension, free parking

BUYER EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Electronic component knowledge
