Job summary

Matchtech is recruiting a Senior Buyer for a leading high voltage electronics manufacturer in Pulborough, West Sussex, on a permanent basis.

You will manage the purchasing process from supplier quotes through to order placement and delivery, focusing on PCBAs, supplier quality and cost reduction.

Key duties include negotiating pricing and terms, monitoring supplier performance, collaborating with Planning to ensure material availability, and visiting suppliers across the UK and Europe as required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience purchasing electronic components in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with PCBAs purchasing.
• Strong negotiation and commercial awareness.
• Ability to build and manage supplier relationships.
• Experience delivering cost savings and supplier improvement projects.
• Understanding of supplier quality standards and engineering change processes.
• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills, with data analysis能力.
• Willingness to travel for supplier meetings across the UK and Europe.

Responsibilities

• Maintain supplier, pricing and purchasing data in the ERP system.
• Visit suppliers across the UK and Europe when required (monthly).

A leading high voltage electronics manufacturer are currently recruiting for a Senior Buyer on a full-time, permanent basis in Pulborough, West Sussex.

Role - Senior Buyer

Type - Permanent

Location - Pulborough, West Sussex

Salary - £45,000 - £50,000 + benefits

Key responsibilities for the Senior Buyer will include and will not be limited to:

• Manage the purchasing process from supplier quote through to order placement and delivery
• Build strong relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, cost and delivery targets are met
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, payment terms and supply agreements
• Monitor supplier performance and lead regular review meetings
• Work closely with Planning to ensure materials are available to meet production demand
• Resolve supply issues, shortages and delivery risks
• Identify and manage supply chain risks to maintain continuity of supply
• Keep supplier, pricing and purchasing data up to date within the ERP system
• Visit suppliers across the UK and Europe when required (typically once per month)

Key skills and experience required for Senior Buyer job applicant and will not be limited to:

• Experience working with ERP/MRP systems in a manufacturing environment
• Previous experience purchasing PCBAs.
• Strong negotiation skills and commercial awareness
• Proven ability to build and manage supplier relationships
