Job summary

Vickerstock, in partnership with a leading electronics manufacturer in Belfast, seeks an Electronic Assembly & Test Technician to join a growing team. You will assemble components, perform tests, and diagnose faults to ensure products meet strict quality standards in a fast-paced production environment.

You will read technical drawings, solder using both through-hole and surface mount methods, and follow SOPs while documenting test results and faults for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an electronic assembly or test role.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Strong fault-finding skills down to component level.
• Experience in soldering (through-hole and/or surface mount desirable).
• Good understanding of quality standards and procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes accurately.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electronic components and systems in line with technical drawings and specifications.
• Test and inspect finished products to ensure functionality and quality standards are met.
• Fault-find and diagnose issues to component level.
• Solder and rework of electronic assemblies as required.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) at all times.
• Adhere to strict quality protocols and manufacturing standards.
• Record and report test results and faults.
