Job summary
ECM Selection in Cambridge is seeking an electromagnetics specialist to join a technical team delivering simulation and modelling for industry and academia. You will work on projects in power transmission, medical therapies, and navigation electronics, and lead workshops and technical presentations.
The role requires strong grounding in electromagnetics, experience with simulation tools, and the ability to communicate complex concepts to clients.
Qualifications
- 1st or 2.1 degree in computational physics, engineering mathematics or applied electronics.
- Master’s or PhD in a relevant subject area; postdoc or industry experience beneficial.
- Excellent fundamental understanding of electromagnetic principles; teaching or tutoring experience desirable.
- Experience with computational simulation / modelling tools (MATLAB, COMSOL, SIMULIA, Simcenter, Octave, etc).
- Good communication skills for client-facing work; unrestricted rights to work in the UK (sponsorship not offered).
Responsibilities
- Work on projects in fields such as power transmission, medical therapies, and navigation electronics.
- Lead workshops and training sessions and provide technical presentations.
- Offer commercial support alongside direct simulation work.
