Job summary

Polytec Personnel Ltd in Ely is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Technician for a 6 month fixed term contract. You will assemble, upgrade and test components of cutting-edge equipment, employing electronics, test and measurement and precision mechanical assembly skills.

Role requires hands-on experience with high-technology assembly, use of oscilloscopes and multimeters, and meticulous record-keeping in line with cGMP. This is a 37.5 hour/week on-site role in Ely.

Qualifications

• Practical experience in high-technology assembly / test, ideally in regulated industries.
• A can-do attitude for goods-in inspection, stock control and manufacture.
• Skilled in using hand tools and test equipment (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes).
• Cable assembly skills (use of crimp tools, wire cutters and associated hand tools).
• Experience using test/measurement equipment such as bench power supplies, multi-meters and oscilloscopes.
• The ability to keep accurate records, in line with cGMP.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and test electro-mechanical subsystems to defined quality standards.
• Follow manufacturing and testing instructions.
• Assist with debugging, documentation and support across the manufacturing unit.
