Overview

Role Overview

The Electro-Mechanical Technician plays a key role in the assembly and integration of complex X-ray machines, including mechanical fitting, cabling, and integration of PCBs, servers, cooling systems, HV power supplies, etc.

Responsibilities
  1. Building of Real Time Topology machines from engineering drawings, diagrams, and standard work instructions.
  2. Undertake repair and rework of mechanical assemblies.
  3. Interpret electrical wire schematics and undertake fault finding and rectification.
  4. Ensure quality of build in all areas, including documentation, self-checking, and buddy checks.
  5. Maintain throughput targets.
  6. Assist in other manufacturing areas as required.
  7. Familiarity with stores and stock control; assist when directed.
  8. Support development of Lean principles within the work area, suggest improvements.
  9. Undertake prototype assembly and assist with manufacturing engineering on project work.
  10. Strict adherence to safe work practices.
  11. Support facility improvements, including implementation of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, BPD, and Continuous Improvements.
  12. Comply with all health and safety policies.
Candidate Requirements
  • Experience in assembling complex electro-mechanical products.
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately with minimal supervision.
  • Good communication skills and adaptability.
  • Ability to work independently following company procedures.
  • Basic testing and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to produce high-quality work consistently.
  • Ability to support and assist colleagues within a team.
  • GCSE level maths and English.
  • Good mechanical and workshop skills.
  • Understanding of electrical and mechanical documentation, drawings, and specifications.
  • Knowledge of electrical and mechanical safety standards.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, BPD, and Continuous Improvement.

Working Hours: Day shift, Monday-Thursday 08:00-16:00, Friday 08:00-15:30
