Electro mechanical Technician

Alexander Associates are working with a fantastic company that manufactures high-safety handling equipment for nuclear power plants and plays a key role in the Hinkley Point C project. They are are responsible for installing, commissioning, and maintaining Polar Cranes, which are vital for heavy lifting during both construction and operational outages in reactor buildings.

Key Responsibilities of the Electro mechanical Technician:

  • Oversee Polar Crane installation
  • Support Polar Crane commissioning
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and security standards in the nuclear environment

Skills and Experience required for the Electromechanical Technician:

  • Degree in electrotechnics or automation systems
  • Experience in preventive and corrective maintenance of electromechanical systems, ideally cranes
  • 3-5 years of relevant, on-site experience
  • Previous experience as “Cable Installation Chargehand (Blue Hat)” on HPC is a plus
