TXM Recruit is seeking a Rolling Stock Technician - Electro-Mechanical for roles at Etches Park, Derby and Cricklewood, London on a 6-month contract. Pay: £25 per hour outside IR35, with shifts including nights and weekends.

The role focuses on electro-mechanical maintenance, fault-finding, and repair on rolling stock fleets, supporting fleet reliability and passenger service delivery.

Formación

• Electro-mechanical engineering background (electrical, mechanical, electronic, or mechatronic).
• Experience in rolling stock or similar engineering environments (aerospace, defence, heavy plant).
• Strong fault-finding skills on electrical circuits and mechanical assemblies.
• Ability to interpret wiring diagrams, manuals, and engineering drawings.
• Comfortable working nights/weekends in a depot environment.
• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in engineering.

Responsabilidades

• Inspection & assessment of vehicles and defects.
• Electro-mechanical fault diagnosis and repair scope.
• Reactive maintenance: renewal/testing of onboard components.
• Safety and compliance with depot rules and industry standards.
• Documentation of maintenance records and defect reports.
• Team collaboration with technicians, engineers, fleets, and operations.
• Continuous improvement through reliability issue identification.
