Job summary

Quartzelec is seeking an experienced Electro-Mechanical Fitter with rotating machines experience to join our Rugby site. The role involves inspecting and disassembling rotating machines, and reading mechanical and schematic drawings to support effective repairs.

You will produce job reports and inspection check sheets and ensure daily and weekly paperwork is accurate. Travel within the UK and overseas may be required, with a focus on first-time fix performance and customer care.

Qualifications

• Qualification in Mechanical Engineering (C&G or NVQ) or equivalent.
• Experience with rotating machinery in an electro-mechanical environment.
• Ability to read mechanical and schematic drawings.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and disassemble rotating machines.
• Read and interpret mechanical and schematic drawings.
• Produce job reports and inspection check sheets.
• Undertake work to a high standard with a first-time fix bias.
• Submit daily and weekly paperwork accurately and on time.
• Ensure exceptional levels of customer care.
• Travel for site work in the UK and overseas, as required.
• Operate industry equipment safely during the repair process.

Salary: £41,000-£50,000 per annum depending on experience + uncapped overtime

Quartzelec is a leading UK independent electrical engineering group delivering design, manufacturing, installation, maintenance, and service solutions to customers across a broad range of industrial and commercial sectors.

We are now looking to recruit an experienced Electro-Mechanical Fitter preferably with rotating machines experience to work at our Rugby site.

Key Responsibilities

• Be able to inspect and disassemble rotating machines.
• Ability to read and understand mechanical and schematic drawings.
• Ability to produce job reports and inspection check sheets Undertake works to a high standard on a first-time fix basis where possible.
• Submission of daily and weekly paperwork accurately and on time.
• Ensure exceptional levels of customer care.
• A qualification in Mechanical Engineering either C&G or NVQ equivalent.
• Previous experience within a Electro-Mechanical environment.
• Knowledge of medium and large electrical rotating machines (High Voltage), AC & DC motors and generators.
• The ability to travel for short durations as and when required for specific site work, both in the UK and Overseas.
• Experience using industry equipment correctly and safely during the repair process.
