Zenovo are seeking an experienced Electro-Mechanical Design Engineer to join their Design & Development team in Harlow, Essex. You will design and develop robust, cost-effective electro-mechanical solutions for low-voltage power distribution systems, including sheet metal enclosures and structural components, within an ISO 9001 environment.

Working closely with Production, Quality, Procurement, Technical Sales and suppliers, you will manage the full lifecycle from concept CAD design through

Qualifications

• Experience in electro-mechanical design within electrical distribution or power distribution equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with testing/repair experience.
• Proficient in 3D CAD; able to create accurate designs and drawings.
• Knowledge of low-voltage electrical/power distribution systems.
• Excellent communication to technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsabilités

• Design and develop sheet metal enclosures, structural components and electro-mechanical assemblies for power distribution systems.
• Produce accurate 2D/3D CAD models, drawings and tolerances for manufacture and assembly.
• Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) aligned with procurement and cost.
• Support prototypes, testing, validation and design iterations.
• Prepare manufacturing documentation including assembly instructions and specs.
• Ensure designs meet ISO 9001, internal processes, and safety requirements.
• Provide technical support to Production to resolve design queries and improve manufacturability.
• Liaise with suppliers on component selection and design requirements.
• Support NPI from design to production and contribute to continuous improvement.
