Job summary

Lucy Group Ltd. seeks an Electro-Mechanical Design Engineer to design electro-mechanical solutions for low voltage power distribution systems. The role focuses on CAD designs, manufacturing documentation, and product specifications in an ISO 9001 environment.

You will collaborate with Production, Quality, Procurement and Technical Sales, supporting full product lifecycle from concept to production while driving continuous improvement and ensuring manufacturability and compliance.

Qualifications

• Degree or HNC/HND in Engineering (preferably electrical).
• Proven electro-mechanical design experience.
• Experience with electrical distribution equipment.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and ability to explain technical details.
• Proficient in Onshape CAD or other 3D CAD software.
• Knowledge of LV electrical protection and switchgear.
• Detail-oriented with good time management.
• Able to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Design sheet metal enclosures, structural components and assemblies for LV systems.
• Create 2D/3D CAD models and detailed drawings with tolerances.
• Develop BOMs and ensure procurement alignment.
• Support prototype builds, testing and validation.
• Generate manufacturing documentation and assembly instructions.
• Ensure ISO 9001 compliance and safety regulations.
• Provide technical support to manufacturing teams.
• Collaborate with suppliers for component selection.
• Contribute to NPI and full production transition.
• Drive continuous improvement across engineering standards.
