Job summary

Hunter Selection is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Design Engineer in Newtown to join a well-established engineering manufacturer. You will work on the full product lifecycle, designing and developing innovative electro-mechanical products from concept through to manufacture.

Suitable candidates will hold HNC/HND or degree in a related field, with strong 3D CAD skills and experience integrating mechanical and electrical systems, motors, actuators and sensors.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics or related field.
• Experience designing electro-mechanical products or systems.
• Proficient with 3D CAD software and engineering documentation.
• Ability to produce and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Experience integrating mechanical and electrical components into complete systems.
• Understanding of motors, actuators, sensors and control systems.
• Knowledge of PLCs, CANbus, testing/validation or ERP/MRP systems advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electro-mechanical products and assemblies from concept to manufacture.
• Produce 3D CAD models, engineering drawings and documentation.
• Design mechanical components and electrical systems, supporting product integration.
• Support the integration of motors, actuators, sensors and control systems.
• Assist with prototype builds, testing, validation and commissioning.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and control system issues.
• Work with Production to support new product introduction.
• Contribute to continuous improvement to enhance performance and manufacturability.

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established engineering manufacturer for an Electro-Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team in Newtown. This is an excellent opportunity to work on the full product lifecycle, designing and developing innovative electro-mechanical products from concept through to manufacture.

Shift: 38-hour week, Flexitime

Salary & Benefits:

• Design and develop electro-mechanical products and assemblies from concept to manufacture
• Produce 3D CAD models, engineering drawings and technical documentation
• Design mechanical components and electrical systems, supporting product integration
• Support the integration of motors, actuators, sensors and control systems
• Assist with prototype builds, testing, validation and commissioning
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and control system issues
• Work closely with Production and Assembly teams to support new product introduction
• Support continuous improvement activities to enhance product performance and manufacturability

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• HNC/HND, Degree or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics or a related engineering discipline
• Experience designing and developing electro-mechanical products or systems
• Proficient with 3D CAD software and engineering documentation
