Job Description

We are seeking an Electro-Mechanical Assembly Technician for a material testing equipment manufacturer based in Hook, Basingstoke.

Responsibilities

• Perform electro-mechanical assembly involving sub-assemblies with mechanical parts and wiring, ensuring high-quality standards.
• Read and interpret drawings to understand build requirements.
• Assemble and leak/test pressure vessels to required standards, recording results accurately.
• Follow all build procedures and report discrepancies.
• Notify the Production Engineer of non-conformances.
• Adhere to Health and Safety regulations and ensure safe working practices.
• Maintain physical fitness to lift loads and stand for extended periods.

Requirements

• Experience in a lean manufacturing environment, championing the 5S methodology.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in electro-mechanical assembly.
• Basic computer literacy.

Remuneration and Benefits

We offer free lunches (sandwiches, salads, hot food), 20 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays (with additional days for each year up to 25), a non-contractual bonus equivalent to one month's salary, and a 3-day Christmas shutdown. Working hours are 40 hours per week.
