Job summary

CMR Surgical in Ely is recruiting for a manufacture and assembly technician to build our state-of-the-art surgical robotic system. You’ll work on electronics, test and measurement through to precision mechanical assembly, following defined instructions and quality standards.

You’ll have hands-on experience with fine manual assembly, good hand-eye coordination, and the ability to maintain accurate records in a regulated environment. Join a fast-growing team delivering cutting-edge medical devices.

Qualifications

• Proven experience carrying out fine manual assembly work with steady hands.
• Good hand-eye coordination and sustained concentration.
• Experience in high-tech assembly or test in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Assembling / testing / commissioning of integrated electro-mechanical assemblies using pre-defined instructions
• Precision assembly of small electromechanical components to defined torque and quality standards; record results
• Completion of manufacturing records and travellers
• Identification and escalation of non-conformances and deviations
• Working in accordance with controlled work instructions, SOPs and quality system requirements
• Basic fault-finding using defined test procedures
• Supporting engineers with structured root-cause investigations
