Job summary

Matchtech is seeking a Manufacturing Technician (Electromechanical Build) to join our team in Whiteley, Hampshire. The role involves hands-on assembly of small electromechanical and microfluidic components in a regulated medical device environment, following SOPs and precise instructions.

The successful candidate will be practical, reliable, and detail-focused, able to use hand tools, document work clearly, and work both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, engineering, or medical device environments.
• Comfortable building from instructions and following SOPs.
• Good attention to detail and manual dexterity.
• Confident using hand tools for accurate assembly.
• Able to document work clearly and accurately.
• Basic IT and numeracy skills.
• Experience working in regulated or controlled environments is desirable.
• Wiring, crimping, cable assembly, or soldering experience is an advantage but not essential.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assemble small electromechanical components using hand tools.
• Follow SOPs and detailed work instructions.
• Carry out accurate, repeatable builds to quality standards.
• Complete job sheets and production trackers correctly.
• Maintain a clean, organised work area.
• Report any quality, equipment, or process issues.
• Clean and maintain equipment before use.
• Support prototype builds and basic testing when required.
• Assist with documentation and process improvements.
