Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited has been asked to find an Electro-Mechanical Assembler (Bespoke Machines) for their Cheltenham workshop. You will build and wire electrical control panels for honing equipment and assist with testing, installation and commissioning of machinery.

The role offers £35,000 - £45,000 plus training, a company vehicle and opportunities for UK/European travel. Typical hours are 7:30am-4:30pm Mon-Thu, 12pm finish on Friday.

Qualifications

• Experience with Siemens PLC and electrical control panels.
• Mechanical/electrical assembly background with a hands-on approach.

Responsibilities

Are you an Electro-Mechanical Assembler with experience with Siemens PLC looking to join a global machine manufacturer offering a chance for occasional European travel, specialist training on bespoke machines and a great work-life balance?

This world leading specialist are experts in the honing market, offering a range of services from the design and manufacture to assembly for the automotive, aerospace, pharmaceutical and oil & gas sectors. After continued growth since their establishment over 100 years ago, they are seeking the next Engineer to join their team.

In this role you will be based in their workshop in Cheltenham building and wiring electrical control panels for honing equipment. You will also be responsible for the overall installation and commissioning of machinery which can see you travelling around the UK, Europe and even USA once a month for a few days at a time.

This role would suit a Mechanical Assembler with and Electrical bias looking to join global experts that value in house training so you can work on state-of-the-arc machinery.

The Role:

• Build and wire electrical control panels
• Machine testing, installing and commissioning
• Chance for European and US travel once a month
• Monday - Thursday (7:30am-4:30pm) and Friday (12pm)

The Person:

• Electro-Mechanical Assembler or similar
• Willing to commute to site visits in Europe
