Responsibilities

• Assemble electro-mechanical products and sub-assemblies according to engineering specifications.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and assembly instructions.
• Perform mechanical assembly using hand and power tools.
• Conduct cable preparation, crimping, soldering, and wiring activities.
• Carry out functional testing and inspection of completed assemblies to ensure quality.
• Identify and report any assembly issues, defects, or non-conformances.
• Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with quality, health & safety and company procedures.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to meet delivery targets.

Electro-Mechanical Assembler Location: Chelmsford Job Type: Full-time Salary: £32,000 per annum We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electro-Mechanical Assembler to join our clients growing production team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in assembling electro-mechanical products, wiring, testing, and working from engineering drawings. You will be instrumental in producing high-quality products that meet both customer and company standards.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Assemble electro-mechanical products and sub-assemblies according to engineering specifications.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and assembly instructions.
• Perform mechanical assembly using both hand and power tools.
• Conduct cable preparation, crimping, soldering, and wiring activities.
• Carry out functional testing and inspection of completed assemblies to ensure quality.
• Identify and report any assembly issues, defects, or non-conformances.
• Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with all quality, health & safety, and company procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experienced in wiring, crimping, cable assembly, and mechanical build.
• Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with standard assembly tools and measuring equipment.
• Strong commitment to quality and workmanship.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Desirable:

• Soldering experience, IPC or related assembly certifications, and experience in sectors like electronics manufacturing, industrial equipment, medical devices, aerospace, or automotive.
