Job summary

Robert Bosch GmbH seeks an experienced Applications Engineer to provide solutions for electro-hydraulic systems worldwide. You will review requests, develop documentation, and support customers and sales with technical expertise for new projects.

The role requires strong C/C++, MATLAB/Simulink, and CoDeSys skills, plus knowledge of safety standards and field bus systems. You will collaborate across divisions and support field deployments and trainings.

Qualifications

• MEng in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Proven experience applying hydraulic and electronic systems in mobile equipment.
• Significant experience with C, C++, MATLAB/Simulink, CoDeSys.
• Deep knowledge of functional safety standards for mobile machines (EU Machinery Directive, DIN EN ISO 13849, DIN EN ISO 25119).
• Strong working knowledge of electronics and field bus systems; hydraulics in mobile equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide applications support and solutions to customers and colleagues to meet requirements for electronic/electro-hydraulic systems.
• Review and process system requests for new/modified products from the field and support sales to initiate new projects.
• Develop project documentation and statements of work in early phases and for cost calculations.
• Develop application-specific software and provide field support for initial testing and optimization.
• Liaise with Sales, Customers and internal departments to report progress and coordinate activities.
• Participate in university collaborations and perform market surveys for special applications.
