About the Role:

The role involves leading test and development work on automotive electrified powertrains.

Requirements:

• Degree in electrical or mechanical engineering; higher degrees are a plus.
• At least 5 years of direct experience with e-machine development and testing in the automotive industry.
• Experience in developing electrified powertrain components such as E-machines, driveline, and engine.
• Knowledge of vehicle attribute engineering and target setting.
• Expertise in instrumentation, sensors, data acquisition, and powertrain test cells.
• Familiarity with automotive calibration & data acquisition tools (ETAS INCA/MDA preferred).
• Experience managing projects from planning to reporting.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to produce and present high-quality reports.
• Capability to work effectively across different cultures.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Leading testing and development of electrified automotive powertrains and mechanical systems on test beds and in vehicles, including E-machines, E-drive units, batteries, hybrid engines, and E-control units.
• Supporting and managing powertrain build activities.
• Designing and organizing test and development programs.
• Supervising powertrain development projects.
• Developing and setting up test facilities for electrified powertrain development.
• Analyzing data and ensuring data quality.
• Preparing and presenting test reports.
• Experience with AVL or similar powertrain rigs is highly preferred.
• Developing departmental practices and training staff.
• Collaborating with design, CAE, and external suppliers to establish and optimize powertrain targets and designs.
• Working with other departments for system analysis and integration.
• Collaborating with calibration teams and CACQ for joint projects.
