Qualifications

• Must have customer-facing experience and a professional demeanor.
• 18th Edition electrical qualification is essential.
• 2391 Testing & Inspection certificate preferred.
• Possession of ECS Gold Card is preferred but not essential.
• A full UK driving licence with a maximum of 6 points is required.

Responsibilities

• Work across commercial and retail sites, primarily with lighting circuits and fault finding.
• Perform emergency lighting checks and straightforward repairs.
• Ensure task close-out with evidence and adhere to a first-time-fix culture.
• Travel is compensated door-to-door, planned as close to home as possible.

Are you an experienced Electrician looking for stable, well-paid work with real variety? Want to move away from purely domestic jobs and work on commercial and retail properties instead?

We’re recruiting on behalf of a highly respected building and mechanical services business with 60+ years’ track record across the South East. Due to continued growth, they’re expanding and hiring electricians into a compliance-led response team.

The role

You’ll be working across commercial/retail sites (leisure and hospitality environments), primarily focused on:

Lighting circuits, fault finding, and safe, compliant repairs

Basic emergency lighting checks and straightforward remedials

Evidence-led job close-out (notes/photos/test sheets) and a first-time-fix culture

Work is planned as close to home as possible. Where travel is required, you’re paid door-to-door.
