Morgan Hunt is recruiting experienced Electricians in Portsmouth to join a leading social housing repairs and maintenance team. This role focuses on high-quality electrical repairs, maintenance, testing, and compliance within social housing, across occupied and void properties.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years’ electrical installation experience and holds relevant NVQ/City & Guilds qualifications, with a commitment to safety and customer service.

Qualifications

• Qualified electrician with NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation and AM2/AM2E.
• City & Guilds 2360, 2330, 2365, 2357 and related AM2 components.
• Proven ability to install, maintain, test and inspect electrical systems in social housing.

Responsabilités

• Carry out electrical repairs, maintenance, installations, testing, and inspections within social housing properties.
• Deliver works in line with Building Regulations, NICEIC requirements, and Health & Safety legislation.
• Complete electrical testing, fault finding, inspections, surveys, and Portable Appliance Testing (PAT).
• Diagnose and rectify electrical faults, aiming for first-time fixes wherever possible.
• Complete digital work orders, reports, and certification accurately and within required timescales.
• Work safely in occupied and void properties.
• Support larger projects and work collaboratively with colleagues and other trades.
• Mentor junior technicians and support their development where required.
• Participate in an out-of-hours emergency call-out rota.
• Maintain vehicle stock, tools, equipment, and materials effectively.

Morgan Hunt is currently recruiting experienced Electricians within Portsmouth to join a leading social housing repairs and maintenance team. This is an excellent opportunity for qualified electricians looking for a long-term role delivering high-quality electrical repairs, maintenance, testing, and compliance works within the social housing sector.
Working across occupied and void properties, you will play a key role in ensuring residents receive a safe, reliable, and efficient service while maintaining the highest standards of workmanship and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical repairs, maintenance, installations, testing, and inspections within social housing properties.

Essential Qualifications

• Level 3 Electrotechnical Experienced Worker Qualification (2346) + AM2E

Inspection & Testing

Experience Required

• Minimum 5 years' experience in electrical installation, repairs, and maintenance.
• Previous experience working within social housing, property maintenance, facilities management, or a similar environment.
• Proven track record of delivering excellent customer service.
• Strong fault-finding, inspection, and testing experience.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
