Your new company

You will be working for a housing association supporting tenants across east Dorset from their hub in Wimborne Dorset.

Your new role

We are looking for an electrician to carry out electrical installations in domestic dwellings to support the electrical team. Your work is scheduled and shared via an electronic handheld device (your PDA), so you should be comfortable using technology and IT systems. You will primarily work alone, so confidence working independently is essential, but you will receive support from regional supervisors. The team meets regularly for meetings and toolbox talks for training and updates. A company vehicle will be provided, so a full UK driving licence is required. You may work at various locations in a day, offering opportunities to explore and get to know the wider region.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Electrical repair, maintenance, and installations in accordance with current wiring regulations (including Part P).
• Fault finding on single & three-phase installations.
• Testing & Inspection, including Portable Appliance Testing.
• Carrying out electrical installation condition reports.
• Shower replacements and installations.
• Wiring domestic heating controls.
• Replacing immersion elements, including draining cylinders.
• Installing or replacing electric heating systems.

Qualifications and experience required:

• Qualified electrician with certifications such as 2330, 2382, 2391 (or equivalent).
• Experience in installation, diagnosis, and repair in domestic properties, with the ability to specify materials and work according to industry standards.
• Willingness to undertake ongoing training as needed.

Salary and benefits:

£41,056 plus benefits.
