Job summary

Rydon Maintenance Ltd is seeking an Electrician / Maintenance Site Supervisor to join our repairs and maintenance team in Southend, Essex on an NHS facilities management contract.

You will supervise site activities while maintaining an active role as an electrician, handling reactive and planned maintenance, power and lighting faults, emergency lighting tests, and supervising contractors. A full UK driving licence is required and a company van is provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance of buildings, ideally NHS or similar facilities.
• Understanding of Microsoft packages and strong organisational skills.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to be on-call.

Responsibilities

• Reactive maintenance and repairs such as power and lighting faults.
• Planned preventative maintenance including emergency lighting and fire alarm testing.
• Respond to breakdowns, fault-find and complete minor installations.
• Support with general building fabric repairs and document management.
• Site inductions, contractor spot-checks and supervising contractors.
• Van inspections and participation in the call-out rota with standby/overtime.
