- Responsible for the inspection and maintenance of Electrical equipment in hazardous areas. (DSEAR, ATEX)
- Comply at all times with all current Corporate/Site Health, Safety & Environment and Quality policies, ensuring site standards are maintained.
- Ensure compliance with all current electrical safety systems of work and practices i.e. 18th Edition Regulations.
- Assist with electrical systems troubleshooting, problem-solving and ongoing improvements.
- Ensure housekeeping in workshops and work areas are kept to the highest standards.
- Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical equipment and systems to ensure continuous, safe, and efficient plant operations.
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults.
- Ensure plant downtime is minimised and that all plants are available to satisfy production plans.
- Maintain up-to-date records of electrical equipment, systems, and maintenance activities.
- Provide Electrical support to Operations and Maintenance on request.
- Accept permit to work documents as agreed by health and safety department.
Minimum Qualifications:
- City & Guilds Level 1 & 2 or above in electrical engineering.
- Experience in a maintenance environment and in depth understanding of electrical equipment and associated hazard.
- 18th Edition BS7671
Desirable Qualifications:
- C&G 2391 or 2394/2395 certification in testing and inspection.
- Experience in electrical systems, installation, and maintenance within an industrial or chemical manufacturing environment.
Working conditions and additional benefits:
- This role requires working a continuous shift pattern of three 12-hour days followed by 3 days off followed by 3-night shifts.
