Salary starting at £34,837 - £37,325 includes a 5% supplementary multi-skill bonus of £1239 per annum paid monthly for qualifying staff. Additional earnings from on-call duties.
We have an opportunity for an experienced Electrician to join our Responsive Repairs Team. The successful candidate will provide a variety of electrical installations and repairs, working in customers' homes, vacant properties, and care facilities. You will be working for our Home Maintenance Team, a group of trade professionals committed to high standards and excellent customer care, even under tight deadlines.
This role operates in a fast-paced environment that is frequently subject to change. We are a forward-thinking, values-driven housing association. The position is mobile, based at our maintenance depot in Ecclesfield, Sheffield. We offer a flexible working arrangement within a caring, friendly team, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
Reporting to the HMT Electrical Supervisor, you will work independently or as part of a team, performing electrical installations, testing, and remedial work in customer homes and owned/maintained buildings. You will aim to uphold high standards of workmanship and customer service.
You should have experience in electrical maintenance and installation, with qualifications including:
Desirable but not essential qualifications include Level 3 2391 Inspection and Testing or equivalent, and JIB/ECS Card. We may consider applicants without formal testing qualifications, offering opportunities to gain certification. You should be problem-solving, flexible, capable of minor repairs across trades, and able to advise clients on maintenance issues. A full driving license and digital work skills are required.
