Job summary

Advanced Engineering is seeking an experienced Electrician to join their in-house Assembly & Installations Teams in St Ives, Cambridgeshire. The role involves assembling, wiring and testing bespoke electrical control panels and switchgear, with occasional weekend work for site installations.

You will spend your week on-site at the St Ives facility, with overtime rates and travel allowances provided for weekend installations.

Qualifications

• Experience wiring and assembling electrical control panels and switchgear.
• Background installing I/O wiring on automation equipment.
• Knowledge of JES/PLC control panels is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, wire and test bespoke electrical control panels on site and in-house.
• Support installation teams on customer sites as required, including commissioning.

Electrician & Panel Wirer

St Ives, Cambridgeshire

Monday-Friday 08:00 - 16:30

Up to £45k base, plus regular paid OT for occasional weekend work travelling for site installations (plus travel expenses and allowances provided)

A leading manufacturer of special purpose machinery is actively seeking an experienced Electrician to join their in-house Assembly & Installations Teams.

Their innovative processing and packaging line equipment is used across a wide variety of industries including food & FMCG.

In this role you will spend your week assembling, wiring and testing bespoke electrical control panels and switchgear. This is based at their site in St Ives, Cambridgeshire.

On occasional weekends when required, you will accompany the Installation Team to support the installation and commissioning of equipment on customer sites. In return, you will receive generous overtime rates, travel expenses, and allowances will be provided.

Previous experience of working for a manufacturer of products used within the food industry and/or previous experience of installing & commissioning equipment would be beneficial but not essential.
