Job summary

United Infrastructure Group is seeking an experienced Electrician to join its multi-skilled site team. The role involves on-site electrical installation, testing and sign-off on projects across utility and social infrastructure sectors, with possible travel and overnight stays as required.

Applicants must be fully qualified electricians with 18th Edition and, preferably, City & Guilds 2391; a UK driving licence is essential and a JIB/ECS/EUSR card is advantageous.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ related experience post qualification in electrical installation and testing, preferably in the UK water sector.
• Fully qualified electrician (NVQ level 3 or equivalent).
• 18th Edition (essential).
• City & Guilds 2391 Test and Inspection (advantageous).
• Valid UK driving licence (essential).

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical installation and refurbishment works on existing water company sites in accordance with project requirements and programme.
• Travel to client sites across the region; may stay away from home during the week as needed.
• Read, understand and follow risk assessments and method statements; complete required paperwork for each project.
• Inspect, survey, identify faults, carry out works and test electrical systems; compile reports.
• Utilise design drawings and manufacturer manuals to complete assigned projects; troubleshoot when issues arise.
