Job summary

Aureos is inviting applications for an Approved Electrician to join our Infrastructure Solutions team at the Isle of Wight depot. You will deliver installation, maintenance, and testing across commercial and industrial sites, ensuring safety, quality, and compliance with BS7671.

You will set out jobs from drawings, procure materials, and certify completed works, while mentoring apprentices and collaborating with clients and subcontractors to uphold high standards and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Completion of a registered electrical apprenticeship or equivalent.
• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or Maintenance or equivalent.
• Achievement Measurement 2 (AM2).
• City & Guilds 2382-18 (18th Edition Wiring Regulations).
• City & Guilds 2391 (Inspection, Testing and Certification).
• ECS Card.
• Full UK driving licence.
• A strong focus on safety and quality.
• The ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ideally 3+ years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical installation, maintenance, and testing in line with BS7671 and Aureos policies and procedures.
• Set out jobs from drawings and specifications, requisition materials, and ensure all works are completed to the highest standard.
• Commission and test electrical systems and issue relevant certification.
• Fault-find and carry out remedial works.
• Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers where required.
• Support and mentor apprentices or trainees as part of your daily role.
