Job summary

Sureserve is seeking an experienced Electrician to inspect, test, and maintain electrical systems across commercial and domestic properties. You will install new lighting and heating, diagnose faults, and ensure compliance with safety guidelines and regulations.

The role involves reactive repairs, on-call duties, and ensuring emergency lighting and safety systems meet required standards. A Level 3 Electrician, 18th Edition, and 2391 are preferred, with a valid UK driving licence essential.

Qualifications

• Must have Level 3 Electrician qualification and current NICEIC approved status where applicable.
• 18th Edition wiring regulations compliance.
• 2391 Testing & Inspection qualification or equivalent.
• Strong communication and organisational skills required.
• Full valid UK driving licence essential.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair electrical problems in commercial and domestic systems, including fault finding, rewiring and monitoring.
• React to reactive repair tasks and on-call duties on a rota basis.
• Assess parts needs and place orders following company procedures.
• Conduct routine maintenance and testing to manufacturers’ standards, including emergency lighting and safety systems.
• Ensure high quality workmanship and compliance with building regulations and H&S.
