Whether you’ve worked in commercial building services, facilities maintenance, utilities, rail, the Armed Forces, or another technical environment, your skills could be a great fit.

Responsibilities include operating, maintaining and repairing critical facility systems, responding to incidents, supporting vendors and maintaining site documentation.
If you’ve got a solid electrical background, don’t rule yourself out because you’ve never worked in a data centre before.
Many of our engineers join Equinix from traditional electrical maintenance roles because they want to work on larger, more complex systems while continuing to develop their careers.
From day one, you’ll work alongside experienced engineers and receive training on critical infrastructure including UPS systems, generators, switchgear, cooling systems and Building Management Systems. Over time, you’ll build specialist skills that are highly valued across the industry.
We’re hiring across multiple engineering levels, creating opportunities for both developing electricians and experienced engineers. Whether your goal is to become a technical specialist, move into project work, lead a team, or progress into engineering management, Equinix offers clear development pathways and long‑term career opportunities.
Most engineers join a site that’s already established. LD14 is different!
You’ll be joining one of our newest London facilities, giving you the opportunity to help build the culture, influence how the site operates, and develop alongside a growing engineering team from the beginning.
