Job summary

Equinix, Inc. in the United Kingdom seeks a Senior Electrician (Shift) to operate, maintain and repair critical data center infrastructure including HVAC, electrical power, fire suppression and building services.

You will help manage vendor activities and ensure reliability in a mission-critical environment. You will monitor alarms, perform preventive maintenance, respond to incidents, and provide guidance to colleagues while upholding safety and compliance standards.

Qualifications

• Gold Card certified Electrician or equivalent experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in mission-critical environments is beneficial.

What We’re Looking For

• Experienced Gold Card certified Electrician or equivalent experience
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to work independently and make sound technical decisions
• Experience working in a mission‑critical environment is beneficial (data centers, hospitals, manufacturing, utilities, airports, etc.)
• Knowledge of UK health, safety, and compliance standards
• Comfortable working with external vendors and service providers
• Team player with a proactive and customer‑focused mindset
