Job summary

Goom Electrical is recruiting Electrical Testers / EICR Electricians to join our social housing compliance programmes across North Yorkshire. You will carry out EICR testing and inspections in occupied properties, recording results and ensuring all work meets regulations.

We offer stable year-round work with fully scheduled appointments, office support, and strong earning potential. PAYE £38,000–£42,000 or £230–£300 per day price work, with ongoing opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience performing EICR testing in occupied properties.
• Hold Level 3 electrical qualification and 18th edition knowledge.
• Ability to understand and record inspection results accurately.
• Experience with 2391 testing, inspection, or equivalent.
• ECS card holder or willingness to obtain one.
• Domestic testing experience in social housing environments.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out EICR testing and electrical inspections in occupied social housing properties
• Identifying electrical defects and recording results accurately
• Completing required C1 and C2 remedial works where necessary
• Ensuring all electrical work meets current regulations and safety standards
• Working professionally and respectfully in customers' homes
• Completing certification through EasyCerts, with office support provided
