Job summary

Gov Facility Services Ltd in Bedford is seeking a fully qualified Electrician (Level 3) to join the team at HMP Bedford. The role covers electrical installation and maintenance in a Category B prison environment, with a mix of commercial/industrial systems and a focus on safety, planning, and reliability.

You will hold BS7671:2018 (18th edition) and Level 3 Electrical Installation or Electrotechnical Services certification, with at least two years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• BS7671:2018 (18th edition) certificate required.
• Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation or Electrotechnical Services (City & Guilds/EAL) with NVQs/AM2/AM2S.
• Two years' experience as a fully qualified electrician.
• Good knowledge of planned and preventive maintenance operations.
• Strong Health & Safety knowledge and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair electrical systems within HMP Bedford.
• Work alongside trades to ensure safe, reliable plant and building services.
