Job summary

Babcock is hiring an Electrician in Minley to ensure reliability, safety and performance of electrical systems supporting military training and estate operations.

You will conduct testing, inspection and maintenance across estate-wide systems, diagnose faults, support predictive maintenance, and seek cost-effective improvements. The role is full-time, 40 hours, Mon-Thu 8:00-16:30 and Fri 8:00-16:00, with an on-call rota after six months.

Qualifications

• Experience as an electrician in a maintenance or technical environment.
• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Proactive approach to safety, compliance and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Providing a full programme of electrical testing, inspection and maintenance across estate-wide systems.
• Diagnosing electrical faults and coordinating effective repairs with maintenance colleagues.
• Supporting predictive maintenance activities in line with asset management and lifecycle plans.
• Identifying opportunities to improve electrical services and implementing cost-effective solutions.
• Maintaining accurate inventory levels for electrical components and supplies.
