Shifts: 4 days on, 4 off – rotating day and night shifts (07:00–19:00 / 19:00–07:00)
Holiday: 20 days annual leave
On-Call: 1 in 4 rota Start

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer to join our facilities management team at a critical data centre site. This role is shift-based, involving both day and night work, and is ideal for someone with a solid background in electrical systems, data centre environments, and critical infrastructure maintenance. You’ll play a key role in delivering high standards of compliance, escalation, and service reliability across the site.
Key Responsibilities
· Electrical maintenance and reactive repair tasks within a live data centre environment.
· Ensure critical systems (HV/LV distribution, UPS, generators, switchgear, etc.) are maintained to high standards.
· Monitor and control building management systems (BMS) and escalate issues in line with site protocols.
· Follow structured logging, escalation, and incident management procedures to maintain uptime and compliance.
· Complete routine PPMs, fault finding, and emergency repairs.
· Maintain detailed records of work, incidents, and compliance logs.
· Participate in a 1-in-4 on-call rota and provide emergency response cover as needed.
· Adhere to health & safety and site-specific risk assessments.
Qualifications & Experience
· Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Electrical Installation (essential).
· Proven FM experience, ideally in a critical/data centre environment.
· Strong working knowledge of electrical systems, control panels, and power distribution.
· Comfortable working on high-voltage systems (HVAP advantageous but not essential).
· Excellent understanding of escalation and incident logging processes in mission-critical settings.
· Confident working on a rotating day/night shift pattern.
· Good communication skills and a methodical, calm approach to high-pressure situations.
