Equans is looking for an Electrician to join our team in Worcester Royal Hospital, Worcester on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.

The Maintenance Electrician will be able to lead engineering activities and undertake duties for which they are trained and competent. What will you deliver?

• Carry out maintenance, repairs, and inspections on electrical systems, mechanical and associated building services.
• Perform Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) tasks across various site services, including Lighting Systems, Nurse Call, LV Electrical Installations, Security Systems, Motors, Pumps.
• Respond promptly to ad-hoc breakdown requests as directed by supervisor/manager.
• Assist with installation work related to minor upgrades and adaptations.
• Conduct systematic fault finding on malfunctioning equipment in a logical and safe manner.
• Follow safe working practices in accordance with statutory and company guidelines.
• Operate access equipment, hand and power tools safely, following health & safety and manufacturer guidelines.
• Maintain records as required, whether written or electronic.
• Coordinate with wards and departments to minimize disruption.
• Collaborate with colleagues and partners to deliver customer-focused service.

Who are we looking for?

• Recognized apprenticeship in electrical engineering to City & Guilds level
• Minimum of 3 years post-apprenticeship experience in maintenance
• Strong electrical knowledge, including fault finding and repair skills
• Experience working in a maintenance environment
• Willingness to work out of hours if necessary
• Team player, flexible, proactive problem solver

This role requires a basic DBS check; ability to pass is essential.
