Job summary

PD Ports Limited is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Electrician to join the Humber Engineering team at Groveport. You will perform preventative maintenance, fault finding and repair of port assets, complying with RAMS and safety policies to maximise uptime.

The role requires time-served experience in heavy industry, ONC/Level 3, 18th Edition BS 7671, and clear communication with operations, contractors and suppliers. A full UK driving licence and ability to work at height are essential.

Qualifications

• Time served electrician in heavy industry.
• ONC/Level 3 or equivalent minimum.
• 18th Edition BS 7671:2018 certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance of 240/415 V power distribution and motor/PLC drive systems.
• Adhere to RAMS, health and safety policies, and safe isolation procedures.
• Work with PLC software/hardware, VSDs, relays, circuit breakers, and proximity devices.
• Coordinate reactive and planned maintenance with operations, contractors and suppliers for maximum uptime.
• Ensure PM schedules are completed with detailed reports and communicate issues.

A vacancy has arisen for a dedicated full-time Maintenance Electrician at PD Ports within the Humber Engineering team.You will work as part of a problem-solving engineering team to undertake preventative maintenance, inspections, fault finding and repair of the Port assets including; Gantry & Goliath OHC’s, automated equipment, pump systems, buildings infrastructure, domestic supplies, utilities and General port equipment.

Location: Groveport.

Working Arrangements: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

The five main things our Electricianwill be working on are:

• 240/415v power distribution systems, including motor and PLC drive systems.
• Ensuring tasks are completed to a high standard, in line with RAMS, Company Health & Safety policy, engineering procedures and safe isolation and control.
• Understanding of PLC software & Hardware, VSD’s, relays, circuit breakers, contactors, limits and proximity devices and all electrical systems in domestic and industrial buildings.
• Liaising with operations, contractors and suppliers to organise reactive and planned maintenance whilst motivated to deliver maximum operational availability in a safe efficient manner.
• Ensuring PM schedules are complete, closed out with detailed reports and any issues are communicated and documented.

We are seeking someone who:

• Is a time served electrician with previous experience of working in heavy industry.
• Holds an ONC / Level 3 or equivalent as a minimum.
• Holds 18 th Edition wiring Regulations certification (BS 7671:2018).
• Possesses strong interpersonal skills, exceptional attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills and a drive for continual improvement.
• Highly motivated, flexible and with a positive approach to their own work.
• Is competent with Computerized Maintenance systems and technical documents.
• Has a full UK driving licence, ability to work at height and drive MEWP’s, all necessary for the role.
