Job summary

Novus Property Solutions is seeking an Electrician to join our Repairs and Voids division, delivering high-quality electrical repairs within social housing properties across locations up to 90 minutes from Swindon.

You will work Monday to Friday on a 39-hour week, with on-call rotation and a company van, toolbox, and ongoing training opportunities to develop qualifications such as 2391. Safety and customer service are at the forefront of this role.

Qualifications

• Carry out fault finding and responsive repairs in tenanted social housing properties.
• Qualified to 18th edition and AM2; NICEIC registration preferred.
• NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation or equivalent.
• Full UK driving licence and DBS check required.
• Experience in social housing refurbishment; PV/EV knowledge advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Carry out fault finding and responsive repairs on tenanted Social Housing properties.
• Replaces MCBs, performs rewiring, external lighting, switches, minor installations, shower repairs and replacements.
• Delsiver testing, inspection and recertification; certificate all works.
• Work from job tickets or handheld device daily.
• Deliver outstanding service to customers in their homes.
• Follow Novus Health and Safety policies and standards.

Job Location: Site based covering up to 90 minutes from Swindon. Standard Hours Monday- Friday 39 hours plus out of hours on call.

This is an exciting opportunity for an Electrician to join Novus Property Solutions, Repairs and Voids division, providing high-quality electrical repair and replacement services within Social Housing properties.

An Outline Of Your Responsibilities And Experience - Electrician

• Carrying out fault finding & responsive repairs on tenanted Social Housing properties.
• Works include but are not limited to replacing MCB - circuit breakers, rewires, emergency and external lighting, switches, minor installations, shower repairs and replacements, smoke alarms, extractor fans, testing, inspecting and re-certification, certificating all works.
• Working from job tickets or a handheld device daily
• Always delivering an outstanding service to customers with the understanding that you are working in their homes.
• Following Novus’ exemplary Health and Safety policies and standards
• Qualified to 18th edition and AM2, preferably NICEIC registered
• NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation (or equivalent) AM2, BS7671:2018 and 2391-52 (or equivalent)
• Experience within social housing refurbishment environment.
• Solar PV, EV Charging, battery storage and domestic ventilation and PAS 2030 Retrofit knowledge and qualifications are advantageous
• This role will require a DBS check and a full UK driving licence is required.
