Build Recruitment is seeking an experienced Commercial Electrician for a temporary contract in Surrey. You will perform PPM and reactive maintenance on commercial electrical systems within a building services context.

The role requires Level 3 NVQ or equivalent and strong fault-finding skills, with the ability to work independently across 12-hour shifts on a 4-on/4-off pattern. Ensure compliance with electrical safety regulations and site procedures.

Temporary Contract 12-Hour Shifts 4 On / 4 Off

We are currently recruiting an experienced Commercial Electrician to work in Surrey on a temporary contract.

The successful candidate will be suitably qualified, have strong experience within commercial building services, and be confident carrying out both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across a commercial environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on commercial electrical systems and equipment.
• Respond to reactive maintenance requests, diagnosing faults and completing repairs.
• Undertake electrical fault-finding and ensure systems remain safe and operational.
• Support general building services maintenance as required.
• Ensure all works comply with relevant electrical regulations, health and safety requirements and site procedures.
• Complete maintenance records, job sheets and reports accurately.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high service standards.

Requirements

• Relevant electrical qualifications, such as a Level 3 NVQ or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a Commercial Electrician within building services or facilities management.
• Strong electrical fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Experience carrying out planned and reactive maintenance.
• Good understanding of electrical safety, compliance and health and safety procedures.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
